Monitor State Water Quality with ATTAINS from EPA
The Online tool: Assessment TMDL
Tracking and Implementation System (ATTAINS) helps monitor state water quality on the EPA web site.
Assessment TMDL
Tracking and Implementation System (ATTAINS) helps monitor state water quality on the EPA web site.
The ATTAINS
website provides information on water quality conditions reported by the
states to EPA under Sections 305(b) and 303(d) of the Clean Water Act.
EPA has issued guidance to the states recommending the submittal of
305(b) and 303(d) information in one Integrated Report, and has
developed this website to display and support this reporting. This site
provides the summary of information as provided via state ADB's or other
electronic systems.
Some of the new capabilities that ATTAINS allows you to do:
- Explore state reported data in an integrated fashion
- Search for specific waterbodies
- View National/Regional/State summaries of information
- View Assessments/Impaired waters by 8-digit Hydrologic Unit
Code (HUC)
- View water quality monitoring data associated with an 8-digit
HUC from STORET
- View waterbody specific assessments, restoration planning
(i.e. TMDLs), and restorations
- View causes/sources of impairment by
National/Regional/State/waterbody
ATTAINS is available at the following URL: www.epa.gov/waters/ir
