"Together" Consumer Climate Change Campaign

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Prime Minister Tony Blair helped launch the "Together" campaign in the U.S. on June 6, 2008.

The Climate Group

Together is a campaign of The Climate Group, which calls it “the largest-ever U.S. consumer engagement campaign on climate change.”

The Alliance for Climate Protection recently announced that it will spend $300 million over the next three years on a global warming marketing campaign.

Together is a collaboration of brands (corporations), cities and non-profits joining together to help you fight climate change. Our partners have committed to working with each other to deliver and promote behavior-changing products, services and initiatives that help you reduce your carbon footprint in quantifiable ways. Partners will be offering you easy, affordable and appealing solutions to help you save energy, save money and save the planet.

Alliance for Climate Protection Branding Partners

The campaign has so far garnered the support of U.S. companies including JPMorgan, Chase, Dell, Lenovo, MySpace, Nestle Waters, RecycleBank, Target, Timberland, the National Wildlife Federation and others. The governments of New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas also support the campaign, and The Climate Group says it expects dozens more companies to sign up in coming months.

International Marketing Campaign Rollout

The Climate Group says it will roll out the campaign to China, India, Hong Kong and Australia in the coming months.

Together was launched in the U.K. by Tony Blair last year and has so far helped consumers there save half-a-million tons of CO2 and more than $200 million on rising household bills, according to The Climate Group.

Together's Climate Change Strategy

"Together totals up the energy savings of all of our actions and illustrates the enormous, positive impact we can have when we all pitch in. You will be joining with millions of other Americans who are also doing simple things to reduce their impact upon the planet - while simultaneously reducing their energy bills.

"Do Simple Things...Together"

"All you have to do is join Together, select a few smart energy saving products or ideas, and watch how your choices added to the actions of millions of other people adds up. You'll see that all of your easy work turns into savings for our planet - and your wallet."
