Triclosan -- Hormone-Disrupting Toxic Ingredient Found in Many Household Products

The toxic, hormone-disrupting chemicals Triclosan and Triclocarban are found in over 76 percent of all liquid soaps and 26 percent of bar soaps as well as many other products including toothpaste, deodorants, and plastics.

The recent studies and articles about toxic antibacterials found in many everyday soaps and cleaners have scientists and consumers alarmed about the long-term health consequences (www.newsweek.com/id/105588 and http://www.breastcancerfund.org).

In early 2007, a survey of 35 Americans from seven states using a biomonitoring project in which people's blood and urine were tested for traces of chemicals—in this case, three potentially hazardous classes of compounds found in common household products like shampoo, tin cans, shower curtains and upholstery.

Results of Potentially Hazardous Compounds Biomonitoring Survey

The results—released in November in a report called "Is It in Us?" by a coalition of environmental groups—were not reassuring. Every one of the participants, ranging from an Illinois state legislator to a Massachusetts minister, tested positive for all three classes of contaminants.

CleanWell Develops Ingenium-Based Cleanser

CleanWell's Key Ingredient IngeniumTM Represents Major Infection Control Breakthrough -- Recent Studies Show CleanWell Products Kill MRSA, E. coli and Salmonella

In the never-ending quest to fight harmful germs and stay healthy, experts question the conventional wisdom of using household products that contain chemicals with harmful toxins. For years, consumers have searched and hoped for a safer more responsible alternative that doesn't pose long-term health risks to our bodies or the environment.

CleanWell advertises its Triclosan-free antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers are groundbreaking -- and now available nationwide at TARGET and many WHOLE FOODS. Their testing shows that their products are 100 percent poison-free, effective natural antibacterials.

Recent lab studies conducted by the FDA-certified independent laboratory, ATS Labs in Minneapolis, Minnesota, found that CleanWell products kill over 99.99 percent of MRSA bacteria on contact, vastly exceeding FDA requirements for products making these claims.

Considering the recent emergence of MRSA as a major public health problem with widespread outbreaks in schools, athletic teams, gyms and the military, CleanWell represents a major infection control breakthrough. CleanWell claims a completely safe antibacterial proven powerful enough to help prevent the spread of this harmful illness.

CleanWell also kills E. coli and Salmonella, but is perfectly safe for kids. There is zero ingestion risk and carries no poison label.
