Exhibiting Opportunity for Community College Exposure
The California Community College Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) Annual Conference is going to be in Monterey, California.
This is THE conference for those in our colleges who deliver economic and workforce development programs and projects. They work directly with students and businesses to provide customized training, contract education and vocational courses of all types. They have mixed funding sources, employers, organizations; federal, state and regional grants; plus some limited but significant funding through the California Community College EWD project funding for their centers and initiatives.
These are some of the most creative, entrepreneurial and innovative groups you’ll find in colleges, leveraging these resources for maximum impact. Our Governor is thrilled with the colleges’ work on behalf of workforce development, and chose to fight any significant cuts to our budget even while the rest of the state has challenges, JUST to keep this economic stimulus going for our workforce. He keeps trying to find new ways send more our direction, even in these challenging budgetary times. Yes, we’ve had to cut back, but there’s still a LOT happening in the colleges and this is the conference to meet those that make it happen. This is where your target market will be in April.
This year's event is a JOINT CONFERENCE with CALED (California Association for Local Economic Development). In one place in April you’ll find all those interested in growing and developing the economy and workforce of California.
This hasn’t been done in years, and may not happen again for many more. CALED attracts economic development professionals of all types, such as community leaders, elected officials, local and regional economic developers, entrepreneurs, and others who play in role in creating jobs, supporting small businesses and generating revenue for California’s cities and counties.
You will have access to both groups of attendees. With about 400+ each, we’re expecting over 800 attendees this year. There will be several joint events and attendees will be going between hotels (we are using two hotels!) to participate and attend sessions of interest to them for professional development.
The EWD conference attracts administrators, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Deans, business partners, Center directors, and initiative project directors from throughout the 110 colleges. (READ THAT: Decision makers)
Fact: EWD’s annual conference attracts almost 400 of finest professionals in training and development from the Community Colleges. Another fact: Attendance at the EWD conference is mandatory for all funded projects in the EWD. You are invited and are encouraged to attend and share how together you and the community colleges can help support local businesses, employees, economic and workforce development through your products and services.
Attached is an information sheet that gives more details about the opportunities and options available. I would welcome calls or emails to discuss anything else you want to know. Please consider this opportunity and especially consider the higher levels of sponsorship. The sooner you get your commitment form and logo to me, the sooner your name and information will be used in all media, website, and conference materials. There’s a deadline for inclusion in the program materials as well. Unlike last year, we have various levels of ad copy sizes, depending on sponsorship level that will be utilized for various means of pre-conference publicity and conference materials/video displays all attendees see or receive.
In case you want to see what’s happening there, here’s the conference direct link online for hotel information, schedule/agenda, etc.: www.cccewd.net/conference.cfm
