National Poll Shows Strong Bipartisan Support
for Plan to Expand Electric Vehicles

Rocky Mountain Institute is a leader in energy innovation solutions, and their team is inviting you to get involved in this EV rollout across America. You can send them your ideas, become a technical adviser or become a sponsor.

Early plug-in leaders are critical to drive the momentum for early EV launches, and when early adopters share lessons with cities who are following closely behind, we will dramatically increase the momentum of EV (Electric Vehicle) adoption and use.

Project Get Ready

Project Get Ready is a non-profit initiative led by Rocky Mountain Institute, in conjunction with a wide array of partners and technical advisers. Project Get Ready will:
  • Create a dynamic “menu” of strategic plug-in readiness actions including the “business case” for each action.
  • Provide a web database of American and international plug-in readiness activities.
  • Convene at least 20 cities as well as technical players regularly to discuss their lessons learned and best practices, and report these conversations on our website and materials.
  • And more!

Report: Electric Vehicles in America

Some cities in America have prepared for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) for years, but the PEV transition will soon affect much of the U.S. relatively quickly. With the first wave of vehicles upon us (starting by the end of 2010), initial PEV fleets will hit specific areas where, for a number of reasons, readiness and appetite is highest. Pioneering cities can make the roadmap to PEV readiness much clearer and shorter for those who are less-prepared. It is not too late for newcomers to the game to prepare to join the next wave of PEVs by taking lessons from the leaders to more rapidly “get ready.”
